MHA announces creation of 5 new districts in Ladakh

Srinagar, Aug 26 : In a significant move, the Ministry of Home Affairs Monday announced the creation of five new districts in the union territory of Ladakh.

In a post on X, home minister Amit Shah, said that the new districts include Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang

He said that the districts will take the benefits meant for the people to their doorsteps by bolstering governance in every nook and cranny.

“The Modi government is committed to creating abundant opportunities for the people of Ladakh,” he said
