China Ignites Tourism with 37,000 Cultural Events

 – In a concerted effort to revitalize domestic tourism and showcase its rich cultural heritage, China has successfully hosted an impressive 37,000 cultural and tourism events across the nation this summer. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism reported that these events spanned over 4,000 diverse categories, catering to a wide range of interests including night tours, family-friendly excursions, and summer getaways.

The initiative aimed to stimulate economic growth while enriching the lives of citizens. By extending operating hours for museums and tourist attractions, China has effectively fostered a vibrant nighttime economy. Additionally, local governments have implemented various measures to boost tourism consumption, such as offering discounted tickets to scenic spots.

Ma Li, an official from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, emphasized that these events are integral to the broader strategy of promoting high-quality development within the cultural and tourism sectors. By meeting the evolving expectations of the public for enhanced lifestyle experiences, China is positioning itself as a leading global destination for cultural exploration and leisure travel.

This summer’s cultural extravaganza not only showcased China’s diverse cultural tapestry but also served as a catalyst for domestic tourism, contributing significantly to economic recovery and job creation.
