Singapore – Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced plans to significantly boost its flight capacity to several key European destinations in 2025. The move comes in response to growing demand for air travel to the continent.
Starting from March 30, 2025, SIA will increase its frequency to London Gatwick, offering daily flights compared to the current five times a week service. This, coupled with the existing four daily flights to London Heathrow, will provide passengers with even more options to travel between Singapore and the UK capital.
Italy will also see increased flight options. SIA will operate five flights per week to Rome between June 26 and August 28, 2025, up from the current four weekly services.
To enhance connectivity between Singapore and Milan and Barcelona, SIA will delink its three-times weekly Singapore-Milan-Barcelona flights from June 24 to September 7, 2025. This will allow for more direct flights between Singapore and the two European cities.
While expanding its European network, SIA will suspend its Singapore-Houston service via Manchester from April 1, 2025. However, the airline will maintain five weekly flights between Singapore and Manchester.
These capacity adjustments reflect SIA’s commitment to meeting the growing travel demands of its passengers. The airline aims to provide more convenient and flexible travel options to Europe, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
