Haji Hanifa Jan Congress-NC’s joint candidate for Ladakh Lok Sabha seat

The seating Executive Councilor, Kacho Mohd Feroz said that they called this press conference to clarify the confusion among general public. He said that after the joint consultation and meeting with the stakeholders they have decided to appoint Haji Hanifa Jan.

Kargil, May 1 (Jammu Observer): Clearing the confusions among general public, the Indian National Congress and National Conference today announced Haji Mohd Hanifa Jan, the district president of NC as joint candidate to contest the Ladakh parliamentary election seat, announced the two largest political parties in a joint press conference today.

The press conference was attended by senior NC leader Qamber Ali Akhoon, Ex Chief Executive Councillor, Feroz Ahmad Khan, CEC, Kargil Dr. Jaffer Akhoon, EC Kacho Mohd Feroz, EC Zakir Hussain, Ex Councillor Gh. Rasool and other members of NC and Congress.

They said that bypassing all the difference the congress and NC has come together for the interest of general public and after intensive deliberation with the party stakeholders they have appointed Haji Hanifa Jan as joint candidate.

The seating Executive Councilor, Kacho Mohd Feroz said that they called this press conference to clarify the confusion among general public. He said that after the joint consultation and meeting with the stakeholders they have decided to appoint Haji Hanifa Jan.

He said that meeting is underway in New Delhi with the Central Election Committee of Indian National Congress and hoped that congress will confer mandate to Kargil district and till evening they will get to know the result.

He said that in case of not getting mandate to Kargil our joint candidate will remain Haji Hanifa Jan.

During the press conference they appealed the general public of Leh and Kargil, religious organization and political parties to support Haji Hanifa Jan. (With Inputs Voice of Ladakh)
