Cyber Police Station recovers online defrauded amount of Rs 29,39,841/-

Jammu, April 29 (Jammu Observer) – Cyber Police Station Jammu has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment in combating cybercrime by successfully recovering online defrauded amount of Rs 29,39,841.00 (Twenty-nine lakh thirty-nine thousand eight hundred forty one only) w.e.f. 18.04.2024 to 28.04.2024.

These complaints were related to online frauds involving KYC update fraud, investment related frauds, credit card frauds, online job/task frauds and installation of third-party mobile apps, among others. The Cyber Police Station Jammu swiftly initiated investigations into various complaints/FIRs and recovered a total money amounting to Rs. 29,39,841.00. (Rupees Twenty-nine lakh thirty-nine thousand eight hundred forty one only).

The Cyber Police Station Jammu led by DySP Cyber along with her team under the close supervision of SP PC Jammu, Incharge Cyber Police Station Jammu, displayed relentless efforts and advanced technical skills leading to the successful recovery of the aforementioned defrauded amount.
